Stouffville #2

SKU: 111

Stouffville, located 45 minutes north east of Downtown Toronto, has a fertile history on par with the farmland it is well known for.

First Nations, including the Mississauga, Anishinaabek, Algonquin, Iroquois and Ojibway, dating back over 10,000 years, inhabited the area as hunter gatherers. The oldest human artifacts in Stouffville date back to 1500 BC.

In 1804, Abraham Stouffer, founded the town, and later in 1820 built a sawmill. Originally named Stoufferville, the town’s name was shortened to Stouffville in 1832 when the post office was opened.

The Applewood Farm winery, featured in this design, began as one of the first pick your own apples and strawberries farms over 50 years ago, and continues today to delight visitors with this experience.
