Queen West 2

SKU: 47

Queen West, overflowing with trendy galleries, boutique shops, vibrant bars, cafes and bistros, is the quintesential hipster paradise.

Queen West was recognized by Vogue magazine as the second coolest neighbourhood in the world!

Yep, you read that right - in the whole world!

Part of this locale's  charm, as featured in this design, is the integration of cool retail shops with residential space.

In 1793, Queen Street, was named named Lot Street, with a section west of Spadina being Egremont Street. In 1837 it was renamed Queen St. after Queen Victoria.

In the late 1800s Queen West was a Pacific Railway Hub.

Prior to the 17th century, the area would have been inhabited by First Nations people including the Mississaugas, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples.
