Many of the buildings, like the one featured in this design, date back to the 19th century.
Parkdale was founded as an independent settlement within York County in the 1850s, later in 1879 became the Village of Parkdale, and amalgamated with Toronto in 1889.
Parkdale's commercial district on Queen West is home to an assortment of restaurants, bars, and local shops and art galleries.
