Hoggs Hollow
Hoggs Hollow is a charming residential neighbourhood nestled in a lush landscape of hills and dales.Hoggs Hollow is named after James Hogg, a Scotsman who settled in the area in 1824, and operated a grist mill in the valley. Subdivision of the neighbourhood began in the 1920s with the creation of lots, layout of roads, and homes designed to reflect the aesthetic of the English countryside.The neighbourhood grew in stages into the 1960's, including the addition of Loretto Abbey Catholic Secondary School (1929).Hoggs Hollow boasts a number of historic buildings including the Miller (1857), and George S. Pratt House (1886).
