Dovercourt Village

SKU: 106

Dovercourt Village, founded in the 1870’s was home to many New Canadians arriving from England.

The name Dovercourt derives from the home of the Denison estate, located west of Dundas and Ossington.

Earliest possible inhabitants of this locale were The Clovis people 11,000 BC, the precursors of most of North America’s First Nations people. Yep, you read that right – 11,000 BC!

One piece of archeological evidence is the bones of mastodons, the elephant-like animals that the Clovis most likely hunted, found in nearby Christie Pits.

Dovercourt Village contains many mixed-use residential and commercial buildings, like Gus Tacos, featured in this design.
