Burlington #1

SKU: 188

Burlington, located halfway between Toronto and Niagra Falls, is ranked the most livable city in Ontario and ranked 5th in Canada (November 2023 Globe and Mail).

With 115 parks and 1,400 acres of parkland, it is no wonder Burlington received high marks for raising children, welcoming new Candians, and retirees.

Burlington, was named after the town of Bridlington in Yorkshire, England, in 1792, by John Graves Simcoe, the first lieutenant governor of Upper Canada.

First Nations, dating back over 10,000 years, including the Ojibway, Anishinaabe, and Wendat inhabited this area.

Burlington's first citizen, Joseph Brant, a Mohawk warrior, Christian missionary, British military officer, and Freemason, built his home overlooking Lake Ontario and Burlington Bay in 1800..

Brant Street Pier, featured in this design, located in Spencer Smith Park on the Burlington waterfront, offers stunning views of both Lake Ontario and the Burlington shoreline.
